About Social Engine

-Introduction-

The Social Engine project has been in motion since 2001 under a variety of names, in a variety of styles. The music written has stayed relatively the same, as far as subject matter is concerned - politics, religion, pain, social issues, and even love have all had their time in the spotlight.

As far as dominant musical influences go, you can thank Einsturzende Neubauten and Nine Inch Nails for the tonal influences, and Nine Inch Nails, Holst, and Vivaldi for the songwriting/composition influences.

-Who is Social Engine-

Social Engine has been, and always will be, at least one person - WFL (Will). On occasion collaboration does occur, but predominantly, Social Engine will be Will's baby. Why? WFL tends to write about matters from a psychological standpoint, and works to convey what he feels in his mind - and since a band can't climb into his head to find inspiration, it will remain a solo project until a new muse is found.
